- Avoid taking with alcohol or products that cause drowsiness. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician prior to use if you are taking carbidopa or drugs/supplements with serotonergic activity. These may include, but are not limited to, L-tryptophan, Sadenosylmethionine (SAMe), St. John's wort, antidepressants, pain killers, over the counter cough and cold medication containing dextromethorphan, anti-nausea medication and anti-migraine medication. Stop use and consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/ doctor/physician if you show signs of weakness, oral ulcers, abdominal pain accompanied by severe muscle pain or if you experience skin changes. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician prior to use if you are taking blood pressure medication. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet light (UV) or UV therapy. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician prior to use if you are taking antianxiety or seizure medications, antihistamines, bronchodilators, muscle relaxants and/or opiates. Consult a health care practitioner /health care provider/health care professional/ doctor/ physician prior to use if you are taking any other medications or natural health products, as black pepper/piperine may alter their effectiveness. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician prior to use if you are taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure or seizures. - Contra-Indications
- Do not use this product if you have scleroderma. Do not use this product if you are taking anti-cancer, antidepressant [e.g. selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI)], cardiovascular, contraceptive medications, blood thinners, anti-HIV agents and/or medications to suppress the immune system (immunosuppressive medications). Do not use this product if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding. If you are taking medications which affect acetylcholine levels (cholinergic or anticholinergic drugs), consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Known Adverse Reactions
- Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Some people may experience mild gastrointestinal disturbances, nausea, restlessness and/or headaches. Stop use if hypersensitivity/allergy occurs. Stop use and consult a health care practitioner if you experience any of the following symptoms within a few hours after taking this product. changes in mental state such as restlessness or confusion, increased heart rate, enlarged pupils, loss of muscle coordination, sweating, shivering and/or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
