Cautions and Warnings 
Ask your doctor before use if you have/had: a heart attack or stroke, chest pain (unstable angina) or resting angina, a heart condition that affects your heart rate or rhythm, high blood pressure that is not being controlled by medicines, a history of epilepsy or seizures, severe liver or kidney disease, diabetes, an overactive thyroid gland, a tumour of the adrenal gland (phaeochromocytoma), stomach ulcer, esophagitis. If you have diabetes, you may need to monitor your blood sugar levels more closely than normal when you stop smoking and start using this product. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. This is especially important if you take medicines containing theophylline to treat asthma, clozapine for schizophrenia, ropinirole to treat Parkinson's disease. Discontinue using NICORETTE(R) QUICKMIST(R) and consult your doctor if irregular heartbeat or chest pain occurs or if severe persistent stomach upset (indigestion, heartburn) develops. Keepout of reach of children and pets.
Contra-Indications 
Do not use NICORETTE(R) QUICKMIST(R) if you are under 18 years of age, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are an occasional or non-smoker or are allergic to any of the ingredients in the mouth spray.
Known Adverse Reactions 
Like all medicines, NICORETTE(R) QUICKMIST(R) can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. It can cause the same side effects as other ways of taking nicotine. The side effects generally depend on the dose you take. If you experience symptoms of taking too much nicotine, stop taking the product temporarily. After you start again, if symptoms persist, take a lower dose and/or take it less frequently. Some common side effects include: hiccups, headache, nausea; local effects of the spray such as tingling, burning sensation, inflammation or pain in the mouth, lips or throat, or changes in taste perception; dryness of the mouth or throat, or increased amounts of saliva; feelings of indigestion; cough; pain or discomfort in the tummy (abdomen) or chest; vomiting, flatulence or diarrhea; tightness or numbness of the throat; feeling tired. If you experience a side effect that worries you, a symptom that persists or gets worse, a new symptom, or if you have a side effect not listed in this leaflet, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist. The symptoms of overdose include nausea, vomiting, drooling, abdominal pain, diarrhea, sweating, headache, dizziness, disturbed hearing and vision and marked weakness. At high doses, these symptoms may be followed by low blood pressure, weak and irregular pulse, breathing difficulties, extreme exhaustion, circulatory collapse and general convulsions.
