Ginger is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as an expectorant and anti-tussive to help relieve bronchitis as well as coughs and colds. Ginger is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to disperse/clear wind-cold and warm Qi. Helps in connective tissue formation. Helps in energy metabolism and tissue formation. Helps to maintain healthy bones, hair, nail and/or skin. Helps to maintain immune function. Helps to maintain normal acid-base metabolism. Helps to maintain normal DNA synthesis. Cautions and Warnings 

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a bleeding disorder, hypotension, infertility issues, or if you are allergic to plants of the Acanthaceae family. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelets, hypotensive medication, supplements, other medication, if symptoms persist or worsen, if new symptoms develop, or for prolonged use. Use with caution in patients with yin deficiency, yin-deficient heat, xiao ke (wasting and thirsting) syndrome, perspiration from qi deficiency, Liver yang excess, and those patients who are recovering from chronic illness or have deficiency symptoms. Chronic, repetitive use may lead to depletion of qi and yang reserves. Discontinue use if you develop a sensitivity to the formula, experience nausea, vomiting or if urticaria occurs. Consumption with alcohol, other medications or health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a health care practitioner if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia). Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Contraindicated in cases of fire from yin deficiency.
