- Recommended use or purpose:
- Provides live microorganisms that temporarily modify gut flora. Lecithin helps to support liver function. Eleuthero is used in Herbal Medicine as a tonic to help relieve general debility and/or to aid during convalescence; Used in Herbal Medicine to help improve mental and/or physical performance after periods of mental and/or physical exertion. Provides antioxidants for the maintenance of good health. Helps to maintain immune function.

- Cautions and Warnings
- Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a liver disorder; if you have any type of acute infection; if you are undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or taking birth control medication or taking prescription medications; if you have diabetes or galactosemia. Discontinue use at least two weeks prior to surgery or dental procedures to prevent the risk of bleeding. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea or severe abdominal pain. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset (e.g. diarrhoea) occur, worsen, or persist beyond 3 days. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have allergy to latex or fruits (such as avocado, banana, chestnut, passion fruit, fig, melon, mango, kiwi, pineapple, peach, and tomato). Consult health care practitioner prior to use if you have gastrointestinal lesions/ulcers, are taking anticoagulant agents, anti-inflammatory agents or other enzyme products or are having surgery. Contact a health care practitioner before use if you are taking other enzyme product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have diabetes or galactosemia. This product has come into contact with milk and soy. If you have a milk or soy allergy, do not use this product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a liver disorder or develop symptoms of liver trouble (such as abdominal pain, dark urine or jaundice); if you have an iron deficiency; if you are taking other dietary supplements. Stomach/Abdominal pain has been known to occur, in which case discontinue use (and consult a health care practitioner). If you have a liver disorder, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. Stop use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness and/or loss of appetite and consult a health care practitioner.
- Contra-Indications
- Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder. Do not use if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation (e.g. blood thinners, clotting factor replacements, acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, fish oils, vitamin E) as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding; do not use after recent surgery. Do not take if you have a known allergy to grass or flower pollens, bees, or bee products. Do not use if you have an immune-compromised condition (e.g. AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment). Do not use if you have a history of systemic lupus erythematosus or if you have a history of asthma.
- Known Adverse Reactions
- Hypersensitivity/allergy has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use (and consult a health care practitioner). Headaches, heartburn, bloating and hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) have been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with green tea extract-containing products have been reported (in Canada and internationally).
