Note - The market status of a product is now available in the LNHPD and identifies if a product is "marketed" or "not marketed" in Canada. Product licence holders may voluntarily provide the Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD) with information about whether their product is currently available to Canadian consumers. Where no information has been provided, the default status is "not marketed". The "current status" field remains unaffected and will continue to indicate the status of the product licence (i.e., active, discontinued, stop sale, cancelled, or suspended). Note that where a licence has been suspended, cancelled or under stop sale, the product cannot be legally sold in Canada.

Recommended use or purpose:
Used in herbal medicine as a diuretic to help relieve symptoms associated with minor urinary tract infections, such as burning sensation and /or frequent urination. Ginger is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve digestive upset/disturbances including lack of appetite, nausea, digestive spasms, indigestion, dyspepsia and flatulent colic (carminative). Cayenne is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to support peripheral circulation.

Cautions and Warnings 
May cause dermatitis in some sensitive people. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have stomach ulcers or inflammation. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking blood thinners; if you are using diuretics; if you have osteoporosis; if you are using sedatives; or if you are taking prescription medications; or if you are suffering from edema due to a cardiovascular disorder. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a history of kidney stones. If you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet) or are taking products containing diuretics, do not use. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing. If symptoms persist or worsen or if you develop any new symptoms, consult a health care practitioner. If you have fever, painful urination (dysuria), spams, or blood in urine, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. Keep out of reach of children. If overdose or accidental ingestion occur, call a poison control center immediately. If you are taking any other medications or natural health products, consult a health care practitioner prior to use, as black pepper/piperine may alter their effectiveness.
Contra-Indications 
Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or attempting to conceive; if you are suffering from kidney disease. Do not use if you have a known allergy to other Asteracea/Compositae plants.
Known Adverse Reactions 
Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) and gastrointestinal discomfort has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if symptoms of gastric pain, nausea or vomiting occur or if symptoms of liver problems occur.
